Alright, so if you're listening to this on audio, I wanted to get your opinion. If this is okay. I've been recording these videos while I'm like driving
00:00:11
and doing stuff. Does this sound all right? Give me your feedback. Hit me at AT BUS 166 on Instagram, or you can email me at bus@machinstudio.com,
00:00:25
anyway. So on to the topic. Was thinking about this this morning, that, like, I know I mentioned it before, but like, I'm in this, like, super
00:00:36
stressed out period of my life. Like, I've never really experienced stress on this level before and and it's gotten me a little bit frustrated because,
00:00:49
you know, at 50 years old I was, I don't know if I have this, like, false perception that things would be different, things would be easier. I don't
00:00:58
think it's ever going to be like that, especially like, you know, to people that are entrepreneurs out there, maybe you understand that, like, the life that we
00:01:06
chose is not it's not that's not the easy path. It's not a it's not a stress free path. And I think that's how it is for the duration of your journey. But I
00:01:18
feel like I'm still dealing with shit that I just felt like I shouldn't be dealing with anymore, and so it's like, really stressing me out. And
00:01:27
then I have this, I'm sure other people can relate. It's like the fact that I'm stressed out is also worrying me, because it's not good for your heart, you
00:01:36
know, to to be in a this sort of heightened stress levels and so but I came to, well, I didn't come to this realization, like, I've known this, but you forget
00:01:52
it. Like, when you're in the middle of things and you're kind of dealing with stuff, you tend to forget the things that you know. And one thing that I
00:02:01
remembered this morning is that this is all just moments, because this morning I was really stressed out, and then I was, I was kind of playing with
00:02:14
one of our dogs, Richie, in the hallway, and I was actually really happy in that moment, and That's when I thought about it, and I was like, I'm not a
00:02:24
stressed out person. I just have moments of stress. And I'm not an unhappy person. I just, I just have moments of unhappiness, and it's like,
00:02:35
everything is like, that's how it is. I think I heard Wes Watson. Have you ever listened to him? I don't know. It's a bit much for some people. I kind of
00:02:44
like listening to him, but I can understand why some people may not like his stuff. But anyway, it's not the point. But he talks about that all the time, like
00:02:53
you're in moments of of, I can't remember the Oh frequency, low frequency and high frequency state. So like, stressed out, that's like a low frequency
00:03:07
state, and then a high frequency is, like being happy and all this kind of stuff. And so I'm not sure how helpful it is to think about it on this level,
00:03:19
but I find it helpful, because if I'm feeling really stressed out, and I'm thinking, like, because I've had these thoughts recently where I was like, I'm
00:03:28
just stressed out all the time, like, Is this my whole life? Like, am I, am I just gonna be a fucking stress case, like, for the duration of my life? Like,
00:03:38
I'm already 50 years old. I don't know how much time I have left, but let's say I live to 75 is it 25 more years of just being fucking stressed out and
00:03:50
all the time and worried about things happening all the time? But then I realized that it's not that's not how it is all the time. Those are just moments.
00:03:59
And granted, there's more of those than there was before. Those were just, those are just moments of stress and and then just understanding that that's
00:04:11
what that is like. You're having a a period of stress that's happening at a current time, or, I don't know if that makes sense. I and then, you know,
00:04:25
trying to get out of my own head and sort of understanding that, like, I'm focused on this stuff that's stressful, so obviously, I'm going to see more of that
00:04:38
stuff that's we've talked about it before, the reticular activating system, or just sort of, you get more of what you focus on. So the more I focus on
00:04:47
things that I'm stressed out about, the more I'm gonna I don't know if, like, more of those things are gonna happen. It might mean that, but it also
00:04:56
means I'm gonna notice more of that stuff. So like yesterday. It was, like, in this super stressed out, you know, state over a lot of things, there was
00:05:07
some stuff happening with some people on my team, and then there was some, like, at one period, like, sales were lower than I wanted them to be, which
00:05:18
is kind of dumb to, like, sit there and look at the sales throughout the day. It's kind of like anything could happen and you're not even you're sort of
00:05:28
averaging out over a week or a month, not so much like hour by hour. It's a silly way to track things for me, at least, because it tends to just add a lot of
00:05:39
stress to my life. But anyway, so that was stressing me out. And then I was trying to do some stuff, post some things on social media, and then some shit
00:05:48
got fucked up on Tiktok, and I don't know it was just a bunch of dumb things, and I ended up getting in this really low frequency state to the point
00:05:57
where I was just like, all the dogs were all weirded out because they, like, pick up, they pick up on your, you know, on your frequency, you know. And
00:06:08
so, like, Richie didn't want to eat his food because he was looking at me, like, what's wrong with the guy? Why is he? Why is he all all stressed? And
00:06:19
I wish I had thought about this yesterday, because, like, I just allowed it to keep going into this spiral and, like, the more. And these are all little things.
00:06:28
Like, none of them are really major things. I just allowed it to keep spiraling until, like, until I was feeling really like, you know, not good, low
00:06:40
frequency shit, you know, but then this morning, like I was saying, I felt that, that moment where I was talking to Richie and Richie's Jesse's dog, but,
00:06:51
you know, he lives with both of us as far as he's concerned. You know, we're his people, and so I'm like hugging Richie and just kind of talking to him like a
00:07:02
dog and petting them, and he's getting all excited and then, and then I'm feeling genuine, legit, real happiness in that moment. So just like dawned on
00:07:13
me, I'm like, Man, I forgot all about that shit, that these periods of stress aren't my whole fucking existence. They're my moment that I'm having at the
00:07:24
time, you know, a low frequency state, and it's sort of up to me to get out of that. And so another thing I like, I like to have some action steps, but
00:07:38
another thing I experienced recently, last week, Jesse and I went to our boxing and conditioning class. That's our kickboxing and conditioning
00:07:50
class. And so this is a really intense 45 minutes, 45 minute workout. You're just like going hard on the bag for, I don't know it's like five minute
00:08:03
rounds, and I think you have a minute in between, or something like that. But it's a really, it's a really intense, you know, 45 minutes of of, you know,
00:08:15
conditioning type, type of stuff, punches and kicks and all this kind of shit. And so I remember when I got home, it was another one of those examples
00:08:26
where I was legitimately happy and I was legitimately stress free, and I actually felt really good in the middle of all the other stressful shit that's
00:08:38
going on. So so the two things that I can think of that I find helpful, and hopefully you find helpful, if you're dealing with this kind of stuff, is number
00:08:49
one, realizing that whatever it is like, you're not a stressed out person, you're experiencing stress in that Time, or you're not an anxious person, you're
00:09:01
experiencing anxiety at that time, and the same could probably be said for happiness. I don't know if that's healthy to say I'm not a happy person.
00:09:13
I'm just happy right now, it's probably probably counterproductive to add it to the positive shit, but
00:09:23
I do find that helpful when you when you think like that. So if I'm in the middle of a really stressful situation and I'm like, Man, I'm just such a
00:09:32
fucking stress case like now, I'm just stressed out right now, and take action against whatever it is is stressing you out, and then you'll start to feel
00:09:42
better. And then there's moments of others, other frequency states on the other side of this. And then intense physical exercise, like people talk about
00:09:55
this all the time, that after intense physical exercise, you. Your body releases endorphins or some shit, it makes you feel good. That's real. That's really
00:10:06
real. Like yesterday, I was stressed out, and I woke up in the morning. I didn't sleep very well, and the first thing I did was I drank some water, and then
00:10:20
I did, I did a bunch of Navy SEALs, burpees and that shit. Those are, those are tough. And so after after that, I got my heart rate up, I was sweating, I
00:10:32
was breathing heavy and all that kind of shit. And then there was a period of time after that that I actually felt really good, and I didn't feel stressed out. So
00:10:42
I'm on my way home from team meeting, and the first thing I'm going to do when I get home is have a cup of coffee, and then I'm going to do some intense
00:10:52
physical exercise, and I'm going to do that every day. I don't know I find it helpful. So those two things, hopefully you found that helpful, too. Again, if
00:11:04
you're listening to this on audio, let me know if this is okay, because I've been doing so much shit, trying to ramp up all these different things in my
00:11:12
life, and I realized I didn't release a podcast two weeks in a row like I just forgot about it. It's weird. If I do it this way, I'll be able to be more
00:11:21
consistent. But if it sounds like shit and you don't like it, I'll figure something out. So just give me some feedback, and also the interview, things that
00:11:30
I had talked about, those are still on the way. I just I've known this, and I'm just remembering this now that I don't enjoy and I'm not good at
00:11:43
coordinating with people and rescheduling and doing all this stuff. I just I don't enjoy that at all. So doesn't mean I'm not going to do it. It just might
00:11:53
take me a little longer to get things lined up, but I have one recorded already. I just want to get a couple more before I release them. So anyway, that's
00:12:02
it. I hope you hope you're having a hope you're having a good day. And I hope some of this is helpful. Do some exercise. Make yourself feel
00:12:13
good. All right, have a good one. I'll see you next time.
00:12:22
See All right, appreciate each and every one of you guys who are supporting the cause and continue to spread the love and yeah, stay up.
